Apalachicola’s annual Historic Home & Garden Tour is this weekend in case you’re looking for something to do and need to get out of the house. The event is not free and will required a ticket for attendance; discounted if purchased in advance.
I’ve had the pleasure of appraising some of Apalachicola’s more notable historical homes during my career; so I can tell you first hand, I think you will certainly enjoy touring the homes of years past. Some of the more memorable properties would be the Coombs House, the Dixie Theatre whose history can be found here, and the Dr. Alvin Chapman residence.
